Add to Collection. It is set in a middle-eastern town, which is thought to be Morroco, and is one of the most commonly played maps by CS:GO players.
It is generally agreed by the community that Mirage lends its favor as being a CT-sided map, and is a map that has been present for a long time in the Counter-Strike series, despite being added to CS:GO shortly after the game's release.
Overpass is a bomb defusal map set in Germany, and one of the rare popular maps in CS:GO that was added to this version of the game only, rather than being carried over from older Counter-Strike versions.
As most maps are, Overpass is seen as a map where the Counter Terrorist side has the advantage. Its multi-layered structure make some of the callouts very key to get correct, so it's worth brushing up on your knowledge here!
Train is an old-school bomb defusal map in the Counter-Strike series, appearing as far back as CS 1. It is set in Russia, and is seen as one of the more advanced maps to master in its playstyle and callouts.
It is known as one of the maps with the most clear divide between which of the Terrorists or Counter Terrorists are favored, as it is widely agreed that the CT side is much easier to play on.
Nuke is a bomb defusal map that has existed in the series since Counter-Strike 1. With defending alone, the player needs to spot the incoming attack and survive long enough for their team to rotate into the area.
Typically, this is done by using the boxes on the site with a lot of running around them from both the solo player and the Attackers. Smoke grenades and flashbangs are very useful here as they block enemy paths and allows a player to rush from Mid through the Vents and assist quickly.
Having two players on Site B is the best option, but one player can also do the job. It gives more room for positioning and bringing flashbangs makes it easier to kill Attackers that are pushing the area.
There are different attack options here as well, depending on how much of the map the Terrorists control. Controlling the Vents allows easy access to Checkers for two doorway options, though it can also be possible to throw a smoke grenade which also lets you pass through this area safely.
Once the room has been smoked, a few Molotovs will force Defenders out from behind the boxes and help gain control of the area.
While planting the bomb in the open may sound like a dangerous move, it can be useful for Site B on Cache. It allows your team to defend it even if they kill the players in the room.
Smoke grenades and other throwables will help keep the Defenders out of the room once the bomb is planted. There are other options for dealing with Site B, the suggested one above is just one potential option.
The Truck provides sight into Bombsite A and partly into the Highway as well which is crucial for those protecting Site A.
This is often an area for fighting since the Garage can provide a line of sight into the Mid. If unprotected, the Attackers can use the doorways to shoot at the Defenders and potentially grab a free kill.
They often smoke the doorways here to prevent this from happening and to stop the Attackers from reaching the Vents.
The Attackers need to use the areas around the Garage for travel as well, so Defenders can sometimes push into the Garage as well to kill enemies.
The Garage is a large open area with a shipping container in the middle to prevent the Terrorists from having line of sight to the Mid from their spawn.
Attackers can still come through the Garage to reach Site A and Site B but they can still use the Mid facing doorway to keep the pressure on Defenders.
Squeaky is the room with the blue squeaky door that leads on to A Site. It is also the name of the door itself. If someone is on A Site pressed up against the door not in squeaky room, the other side , some players will call Squeaky, rather than A Site, as it is more precise.
They are known as Boost Boxes as they can only be accessed by getting a boost from a teammate or jumping from the top of squeaky door.
NBK is the corner of A Site between squeaky door and quad. Quad is the name given to the location that surrounds the big stack of four boxes at the back of A Site.
Quad refers mainly to the location behind these boxes most of which isn't visible from A Main and Catwalk , but can also refer to the area in front of the boxes.
Default is the "default" plant spot, which is considered the safest place to plant as it is hardest to reach from most angles.
Forklift is the location around and behind under balcony the forklift vehicle located on A Site. Balcony is the raised metal balcony on A site, located above Forklift, and stretching round to catwalk.
The CT Halls callout spans a large area compared to other callouts for this map - it refers to the area between Truck and Hell. Checkers refers to the room with the checkered floor that Vents leads into, and is also connected to B Main, and the B Site area.
Garage refers to the large Garage building that sits between T Spawn and Mid. It also connects to Dumpster. It has this name because when a player is crouched there, you can only see their head.
B Site is the area that the bomb can be planted within on the B bombsite i. Some players will refer to B Offen as B Site as well.
This refers to the area behind the boxes at the back of B Site. Also known as Back Site, and Back Boxes. Terrorists will commonly hide here after a bomb plant to surprise CTs when they are retaking the site.
